Baaa-rilliant! Exclusive Shaun The Sheep animation in blippable Radio Times

There’s a special woolly treat in store for readers of this week’s Radio Times: an exclusive Shaun The Sheep short animation.

The never-before-seen stop-motion short was created by Aardman, the Academy Award-winning animation studio behind Shaun’s TV series and a number of other acclaimed clay cartoons, including the Wallace And Gromit stories. Just like Shaun The Sheep, Wallace and Gromit was originally created by Aardman animator Nick Park.

The mini-movie – shot to celebrate the UK release of the very first Shaun The Sheep movie on 6 February - is accessible only by blipping the front of the interactive Radio Times magazine using the free Blippar app.

Alongside the animation the blipp also features an image gallery of behind-the-scenes photographs from the film, the film’s official full-length trailer, the option to instantly subscribe to the Radio Times magazine, and the chance to read reviews of the movie. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, this issue of the Radio Times featured cover star John Hurt, and blipping it unlocked an exclusive message from current Doctor Matt Smith, plus and images and trailers from upcoming 50th episode. This blipp proved extremely popular, scoring the highest number of interactions from any Immediate Media title.
