Artist David McLoughlin has won the Wandsworth Council 'Balham Bench' competition with a design that incorporates digital elements using Blippar's AR technology. David’s winning design has transformed a bench on Bedford Hill in Balham, London, into an artistic landmark, both physically and digitally.
The bench, activated with a Web AR experience, is available for everyone to enjoy. Passers-by simply scan the QR code, then point their phones at the bench, and an AR graphic reading ‘SOUTH WEST IS BEST’ appears, bringing the local area to life.
